Highway is the fourth studio album by English rock band Free. It was recorded extremely quickly in September 1970 following the band's success at the Isle of Wight Festival but with an attitude of relaxation, the band having achieved worldwide success with their previous album Fire and Water (26 June 1970) and the single "All Right Now". It is a low-key and introspective album compared with its predecessors.

Solitude is not always lonely, either. My trainer at Paschall was Bob Jennings, a child with an actual trucker mustache who called me Topher Grace because I wasn't cool. I codrove with Bob for a couple of weeks, learning how to wake up or go to sleep at any time of the day or night and work. Might be brains scattered all across the highway. It wasn't, and there weren't. Later, in Chicago, we stopped at a consignee to deliver a load-truck engines, cereal, who knows (sometimes I forget what I'm hauling)-and approached a serious-looking woman at the check-in desk. Have you ever considered solitude? I don't mean abstractly, in the way we confront the ghosts of past loves or the specter of time. I mean concretely, like the way you confront a one-thousand-pound pallet of Scott-brand toilet paper landing on you, with no one around to help.
Rudolf Schenker: Rhythm Guitar . Sun in the sky, make the world fly, Into time, beg me your time. Well, I lived in magic solitude Of cloudy-looking mountains And a lake made out of crystal raindrops. Roaming through Space tenthousand years ago I've seen the giant city of Atlantis Sinking to eternal waves of darkness. Somewhere in the blue distance Are those long-forgotten trees of yore A broken violin floating alone in December Darkness everywhere and nothing more.
