In March 2007 they finally went independent and launched FSOLDigital. com releasing dozens of unreleased material (under the From The Archives series), as well as old and new material from their other aliases. One of the most anticipated albums in ambient history, Environments got released 13 years since its recording, and then Environments continued as a series, the first volumes were reproduced old material blended with new neoclassical material.
From the Archives Vol. 6 is a release from The Future Sound of London's From the Archives series; released in 2010. A CD version was released on 25 October, seven weeks after the initial mp3 release. As with the rest of the series, the music within covers their unreleased 1990s experiments and songs that never made it to the albums released at the time.

Originally a fan of Solid Steel radio himself and later forming the Future Sound of London with Gary Cobain, their incredible radio mixes would in turn be a huge inspiration to me in the 90s.
