The More I See You" is a popular song composed by Harry Warren, with lyrics by Mack Gordon, and was originally sung by Dick Haymes in the 1945 film Diamond Horseshoe. In 1966, Chris Montez released the most commercially successful and well-known recording of the song, and his version has been used many times in films, notably at the beginning of the famous club scene in Roman Polanski's Frantic, starring Harrison Ford.

For other people named Peter Allen, see Peter Allen. In 1976, Allen released an album, Taught by Experts, which reached number one in Australia, along with the number one single "I Go to Rio" and the Top 10 hit "The More I See You". Although his recording career in the US never progressed, he performed in Atlantic City and at Carnegie Hall. He had three extended sold-out engagements at New York City's Radio City Music Hall, where he became the first male dancer to dance with The Rockettes and rode a camel during "I Go to Rio"

The more-ore I see you, more-ore-ore that I want you Somehow-ow this feelin' ju-ust grows and grows With every sigh I become more sure about you More-ore-ore lost without you and so it goes. Can you imagine how much I love you The more I see you as years go by I know the only one for me can only-y be you My arms won't free you, and my heart won't try. The more that I see you, the more that I want you Somehow-ow this feelin' just grows and grows. No unauthorized reproduction of lyric

Peter Allen has long been a top draw worldwide in cabarets and on stage, and now, with a musical about his career ( The Boy from Oz ) putting fannies in the seats on Broadway, the time is ripe for his first multi-label retrospective! Includes Fly Away; I Go to Rio; Quiet Please, There's a Lady on Stage; Don't Cry Out Loud; I Honestly Love You; I'd Rather Leave While I'm in Love; The More I See You; Arthur's Theme (The Best You Can Do), and more.

Peter Allen was born on Feb 10, 1942 in a little town in the hills of . He learnt piano from an early age and was playing at the local pub by the time he was ten. Peter left school in his mid-teens and decided to further his career in Sydney. It was there that he met Chris Bell and they joined forces as the Allen Brothers. Rio' was followed hotly by his best selling album, Taught By Experts, and another single, 'The More I See You'. The next release by Peter was a double live album recorded at clubs in both Los Angeles and New York, entitled 'It Is Time For Peter Allen', which hit the shops in October 1977. He was the only Australian to win an Oscar, a Grammy and a Golden Globe, and wrote some of our most iconic songs before dying in 1992 at 48-years-of-age.

The Very Best of Peter Allen: The Boy from Down Under. Australian Peter Allen, who passed away in 1992, will probably be best remembered as a brilliant songwriter and flamboyant performer rather than as a charting artist. Indeed, his own chart successes were modest, but cover versions of his material have been pure gold for many major acts, including "Jennifer" for teen idol Bobby Sherman, "I Honestly Love You" for fellow Aussie Olivia Newton-John, and "Don't Cry Out Loud" for Melissa Manchester.
