A Walk to Remember is a 2002 American coming-of-age romantic tragedy film directed by Adam Shankman and written by Karen Janszen, based on Nicholas Sparks' 1999 novel of the same name. I honestly think it was a good conclusion for something we already know would happen, this being a prequel and all. One of the keys about Breaking Bad success was how for most its run there weren't any (obvious?) deus ex machinae; while there was some luck factor to Walt and Jesse's continued "adventures," what happened throughout the series was the result of a series of schemes that generally went according to plan (with a few changes here and there). Among the sub-plots are trust in the Ghost of King Hamlet, Fortinbras, and the relationship between Hamlet and Ophelia.

The novel unfolds against the backdrop of rebellion wherein seven southern states, Georgia among them, have declared their secession from the United States (the "Union") and formed the Confederate States of America (the "Confederacy"), after Abraham Lincoln was elected president with no ballots from.
