The album Anúna: Celtic Origins was released in the same year. It was the number one selling album in the World Music category of Nielsen Soundscan in August of that year. November 2008 saw the release in the US of Christmas Memories, a CD and DVD release coupled with PBS Broadcasts nationally in November and December. The album entered the Billboard World Music Charts at number 6 on first week of release and spent 10 weeks in the Billboard World Music top 20 albums. To celebrate their 25th anniversary in June 2012 Anúna released their new album Illumination, a fifteen track CD and, in May, featured on the soundtrack to the video game Diablo III.
And the next in line appears to be Anúna - a multi-member Irish choral group, which has been issuing albums on a regular basis since the early '90s. An amalgam of both pop and classical music, the album is full of gentle melodies and soothing harmonies, as evidenced by such re-worked traditional tunes as "Siúil a Rúin" and "Pie Jesu

In 1987 Dublin composer Michael McGlynn founded An Uaithne, a name which describes the three ancient types of Celtic music, Suantraí (lullaby), Geantraí (happy song) and Goltraí (lament). One of the group's stated aims is to explore and redefine this music.
