His early releases combined, found sound, lo-fi aside hi-fi production, electronica and Indie-pop that went someway to establishing the folktronica genre along with fellow artists, Leafcutter John, Four Tet and Tunng.
Yes it goes a bit harebrained in the final third but you'd swear for the first 2/3's before the breakdown that this would have been the original. One of the better cuts from the full album is given a planet-mu style, self remix. This result is probably more cohesive than the original (which starts noisily and aggressively without melody) and in some ways a better track. I say some ways because the first 20% of this track sounds worryingly like Commercial Dubstep.
