Solutiore of Stareau is a highly experimental work that doesn't quite sound like one; a use of soft static and environmental atmospheres, combined with warm, deep bell-tones, gives the album a restful air more in keeping with contemporary new age than Zammuto's usual stylistic compatriots in Berlin. At over an hour in length though, the crackly ambience and slowly shifting nature of the recording may occasionally bore listeners.

Zammuto ha anche realizzato su CDROM una trilogia elettronica dal titolo Solutiore of Stareau, registrata tra il 1998 e 2000, la terza parte è stata ristampata col titolo Willsher (Apt B, 2000). The first disc is a seventy minute continuous bass guitar improvisation through two interlocking delay units and volume pedals, then variably EQ’d in a wave editor. It sounds like its moving backward and forward at the same rate. It seems to make some people fall asleep instantly, and others completely wired and hyper-awake.

The second disc is 60 minutes of vinyl scratches. Using razor-blades and pens and pencils, I cut rhythmic patterns into the inner circles of a bunch of my parents' classic rock LPs, then recorded and resequenced them into an evolving series of rhythms, always changing time signature and tempo around a circle of fifths. It seems pretty harsh at first but as your ears adjust it becomes quite listenable, perhaps almost enjoyable.

The third disc combines elements of the first two, plus whatever other sounds I stumbled across, in a sort of proto-pop format. Most tracks are 'song' length, each having its own process and idiosyncracies.
