is a really great Smiths live album. well I know, hates it, but it kept me entertained and made me smile at a time when I wasn't doing a lot of smiling. The best part of the show is undoubtedly Lucky Channel (yes, even better than Mokette! Sailor Fuku). I love Akira! Never have I so related to a fictional character. I'm not sure if I'm joking.

Album · 2015 · 9 Songs. It's an intoxicating-and slightly intoxicated-sound led by Victoria Legrand’s husky tenor and the insistent tick-tock of the band’s dusty old drum machines.

The Smiths Album Art Lyrics. After signing a production deal with independent record label Rough Trade, the newly-formed indie rock band launched their self-titled debut album in early 1984. Originally scheduled to be released in late 1983, the release was pushed back due to a change in production and a subsequent re-recording of the entire album

Well it looks like the date on this boot is wrong and the recording is from Irvine Meadows, Laguna Hills, CA 28th August 1986 more info here https://www.morrissey-solo.com/wiki/Irvine,_California_1986-08-28_(The_Smiths_concert)

Sounds amazing, dead quiet, and perfectly centered. If only all official vinyl releases could be as good as this unofficial one. Recommended! (Referencing the clear/black vinyl version.)

Matthew hit it right on the head. This is an incredible live recording of the Smiths at the top of their game while touring in support of the "The Queen is Dead" album. 5 stars!

Is this the version that comes with LP1 in clear with smoky black lines and LP2 in black? Pic for reference: http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/aaMAAOSwBnVW8zW6/s-l1600.jpgThe other version of this on discogs is LP1 - translucent blue, LP2 - black. I don't see any other option on here for the one I own (clear), so maybe this listing is it?

Ffleg
Mine is black with green label for LP1 and black with yellow for LP2 as pictured here.

Anybody heard this? How is the quality? I recall the "live panic" cd being considered one of the worst Smiths bootlegs out there...

Makaitist
Is there a second guitarist on HOW SOON IS NOW during the live performance of this record?

I bought the record a few days ago and the quality sounds great. This is a recording of a concert performed August 28, 1986 at Irvine Meadows, Laguna Hills, CA. It seems to have been originally released on CD by Big Music in 1994 under the name "Thank Your Lucky Stars". When Alti Philosophi put out the album on vinyl, they split the recording into two LPs, "Panic!" and "More Panic!" released in 2012 and 2014 respectively. Then in 2015 they put the two albums together again and released it as "Absolute Panic!". Fortunately, "Live Panic!!!" is only a similarly named bootleg and has nothing to do with this recording. It is an interesting concert, towards the end things start to get out of hand, apparently the security started roughing people up and Morrissey broke off in the middle of 'I Know It's Over" to yell at them a bit. "Thank Your Lucky Stars" is a bit more available online if you want to give it a listen.

I have this release but it is bright blue instead of orange

Hello. Sorry I didn't respond earlier because I've been out of town on vacation and am just now checking my e-mails. Thanks for your offer of $40. I would consider $60 plus $3 shipping in U.S and $6 international.
