Billie Holiday ( MG C-161) is the third 10 inch LP album of original material by jazz singer Billie Holiday, released on Clef Records in 1954 (her final album would also be given the same title, prior to being changed to Last Recording instead). The recordings took place in 1952 and 1954. Holiday never entered the recording studio in 1953.

While The Complete Commodore Recordings contains all of the alternate takes that Holiday recorded for Commodore in 1939 and 1944, this collection only concerns itself with the master takes (which total 16). Holiday never singed an exclusive contract with Commodore - she only freelanced for the label, and the ultra-influential jazz singer spent a lot more time recording for Columbia in the 1930s and early 1940s, and for Decca from 1944-1950.

Lady Day: The Complete Billie Holiday on Columbia - 1933-1944Audio CD. Billie Holiday. Tain't Nobody's Business If I Do (Alternate Version) by Billie Holiday. I love this compilation of Billie Holiday gems. Holiday pleases in this one. It has a lot of her earlier works, when her voice was young, fresh, and as-yet undamaged. While I can honestly appreciate her, "Lady in Satin" days, this collection showcases what Lady Day's voice initially did to my heart. I like Ms. Holiday and the way the album is presented.

Back when Billie Holiday was first accorded the accolade it really meant something. So we’re attempting the impossible, to come up with 20 tracks that tell the story of her career in just 20 Billie Holiday songs. As usual we’ll start at the very beginning – well almost. Billie Holiday was complex. She could exasperate her friends, but at other times she was the sweetest natured woman alive. Where oh where is Fine and Mellow – one of the greatest jazz recordings ever – written by Billie with the greatest lineup of musician. riminal to leave it out! Reply.

The discography of Billie Holiday consists of twelve studio albums, three live albums, twenty-four compilations, and five box sets.
