King Animal is the sixth and final studio album by American rock band Soundgarden. It was released on November 13, 2012, by Seven Four Entertainment and Republic Records in the United States, and by Vertigo Records in the rest of the world. Produced by both the band and Adam Kasper, the album is the band's first in sixteen years, and the first not to be released on A&M Records since 1988's Ultramega OK. However, Republic, Vertigo and A&M are all owned by Universal Music Group.
King Animal (2xLP, Album). Universal Republic Records. The album represents what Soundgarden would of sounded like if they never broke up and this was thier 4th or 5th record since Down on the Upside. From that point of view, this album is fantastic. To be honest, a 90’s sounding album would have sucked as the musicians have evolved.

Sixteen years after their last album, King Animal is the sixth studio album by American rock band Soundgarden. Produced by both the band and Adam Kasper. The Plus Version features 5 live tracks recorded for Live from the Artists Den at The Wiltern, Los Angeles and an acoustic cut by Cornell and Shepherd recorded for CIMX-FM in Detroit.
Genre: Alternative Rock. As an album King Animal remains a somewhat numbing listen, its components, as excellent as they individually often are, making for a rather wearing collective, undeniably muscular but curiously unmemorable.
