In 1992, it was remixed by Swedish house music production duo StoneBridge and Nick Nice, New York City's Onionz and re-released in many European countries as well as United States and Japan
But Robin - a sassy, big-voiced belter who knows how to make sparks fly - sounded like she was coming from the heart. The success of her sleek yet gritty hits "Show Me Love" and "Back It Up" led many to think of Robin as a dance-floor diva. But as much as she excels in that area, "My Kind of Man" and "I'm Gonna Love You Right (Tonight)" demonstrate that she has no problem handling the silkiest of slow jams.
Show Me Love was an international dance hit for artist Robin S. in 1992. Though the song was originally released in the UK in 1990 on a small independent label, it was a remix by Swedish house producers Stonebridge & Nick Nice that put Show Me Love and its gospel-bred lead singer on the map two years later. Ultimately, Show Me Love was certified gold and reached on Billboard’s US R&B chart, at pop, and at dance. Not to mention climbing into the Top 20 of multiple charts worldwide. It was such a success that it spawned a soundalike follow-up single called Love For Love.
