Cut the Crap is the sixth and final studio album by the English punk band the Clash. It was recorded in 1985 at Weryton Studios, Munich, and released on 4 November 1985 by Epic Records. It followed a turbulent period for the band, after the dismissal of co-founder, lead guitarist and principal songwriter Mick Jones and drummer Topper Headon, by lead vocalist Joe Strummer and bassist Paul Simonon.

The Clash - Cut the Crap (1985). Последний и самый неудачный альбом Clash, излишне перегруженный драм-машинами и синтезаторными эффектами. Songs in album The Clash - Cut the Crap (1985).

Hoping to keep the Clash as a raw punk phenomenon, Joe Strummer and Paul Simonon kicked Mick Jones out of the band following the success of Combat Rock, hiring three unknowns (Nick Sheppard, Pete Howard, and Vince White) to replace him for Cut the Crap.

This is a poorly recorded album with a scruffy bunch of punks backing up Joe Strummer and Paul Simenon. It was their effort to keep the Clash alive without Mick and Topper. I would love to remix/produce a new version of this album. It yielded one hit (This is London) but has a few other good songs, including the funky Fingerpoppin'. I saw The Clash . on the Combat Rock Tour twice, with Terry Chimes on drums. They were good, not great. This version of the band is not even close, but worth a listen if you loved the Clash and Joe Strummer
