The Partridge Family Album is the first studio album by The Partridge Family. It was released in October 1970 and included their first recording, "I Think I Love You". It has a picture of the whole family on the back and a small picture of David Cassidy and Shirley Jones. The album cover is made to look like an old-fashioned photo album. The original release of the album included a framed color photograph of the group

The Partridge Family is an American musical sitcom starring Shirley Jones and featuring David Cassidy. Jones plays a widowed mother, and Cassidy plays the oldest of her five children who embark on a music career. It ran from September 25, 1970, until March 23, 1974, on the ABC network as part of a Friday-night lineup, and had subsequent runs in syndication. The family was loosely based on the real-life musical family the Cowsills, a popular band in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Taking a page right out of the overwhelming phenomenon that was Monkee mania, The Partridge Family ran on ABC-TV from September 25, 1970, through August 31, 1974. Although the tunes were more or less a byproduct of the show's success, producer Wes Farrell actually incorporated the same methodology that Bert Schneider and Bob Rafelson had used on The Monkees. This involved primary cast members Shirley Jones and David Cassidy on lead vocals for all Partridge Family projects in addition to their chores as actors.

There were four others aftwards, although they may not have been quie as popular as the first three. As for "Sound Magazine", Cassidy definitely reached his highest point. Although "I Think I Love You" from the first album was their greatest song, this third album is arguably their finest album.

The Partridge Family Sound Magazine was the third album from The Partridge Family. It was released on the Bell Records label in August 1971 and, like all of the Partridge Family recordings, was produced by Wes Farrell for Coral Rock Productions. The LP was certified gold in September of that year and is near-universally regarded – by both fans and critics – as the Partridge Family's consummate pop album. This was the first Partridge Family album featuring Brian Forster (replacing Jeremy Gelbwaks as Chris Partridge) on the album cover  . All tracks from the album were featured on the TV show, mainly from Season 2.
