Slayer is an American thrash metal band from Huntington Park, California. The band was formed in 1981 by guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman and vocalist and bassist Tom Araya. Slayer's fast and aggressive musical style made them one of the founding "big four" bands of thrash metal, alongside Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax. Slayer's current lineup comprises King, Araya, drummer Paul Bostaph and guitarist Gary Holt. Hanneman and drummers Dave Lombardo and Jon Dette are former members of the band.

Slayer is an American thrash metal band formed in 1981 by guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, who recruited vocalist and bassist Tom Araya, and drummer Dave Lombardo. Slayer's first two albums, Show No Mercy (1983) and Hell Awaits (1985), which were released on Metal Blade Records, did not chart in the United States. The band was then signed to Def Jam Recordings by Rick Rubin, who produced Reign in Blood (1986)

At The Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle (UK) 10th November 2018. Spinal Tap& Nigel Tufnel may well have said How much heavier could this be, the answer is non. .none more heavy and that could certainly be true of tonight& show at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle. 35 years after their Show No Mercy album shook the foundations of Metal to its very core, Thrash titans Slayer announced that they were hanging up their spiked wristbands for good but not before one final world-wide treck and the chance to hear those iconic songs for one last time. With a supporting cast befitting of their lofty status Obituary, Lamb Of God and fellow paid up member of Thrash& legendary Big Four, Anthrax laid the foundations for an intense evening.

Not fair to listen to this performance and use it to define every other show since. All it takes is pushing it a bit too hard at the last show and it becomes an uphill battle. Dude are you shitting me? Just listen to how he sings Disciple, it's not even a shell of what he used to be able to do. How he sounds on the record when singing Disciple is just so fucking angry and aggressive, but in this live he just sounds like a whimpy kid. Elmo Blatch.

Absolutely nothing was this insane – not even close  . Album (Studio full-length).
