Anarkophobia is the fifth studio album from Brazilian band, Ratos de Porão – or simply known as RxDxPx. Although a hardcore punk band in their early days, since the last album RDP had been adding new influences, and Anarkophobia falls much more on the thrash metal and crossover thrash genre. It was released in 1991 on Roadrunner Records and follows their breakthrough record, Brasil from 1989. Like its predecessor, it was recorded in Berlin, Germany and was produced by Harris Johns.

Ratos de Porão (Portuguese for "Basement Rats") is a Brazilian punk rock band from São Paulo. They were formed in 1981, toured South America, North America, Asia and Europe and still continue to play today. Their core lineup of João Gordo on vocals and Jão on drums and later guitars has remained since virtually the band's beginning.

Unlike many of the thrash releases that came out in 1991, Anarkophobia doesn't get into fantasy lyrics or the occult. is strictly a political band, and the South Americans bring an anarchist perspective to nihilistic offerings like "(All I Need Is) Hatred," "Death of the King," and "Mad Society. All of the tunes are . originals except the Ramones' "Commando," which offers some comic relief on what is generally a very angry and pessimistic album
