Burn, Piano Island, Burn is the third full-length studio album by the American post-hardcore band The Blood Brothers, released in March 2003. The album drew widespread critical acclaim, reflected by an average score 82 on Metacritic.
Burn Piano Island, Burn acheives something many bands never acheieve in their entire careers. The album manages to have 12 songs which are never bad. At the same time, there are quite a few standout points throughout the album. Never taking themselves as seriously as most screamo bands, The Blood Brothers acheive amazing results. The album closer, "The Shame" ends as an epic and makes the album seem like it's been building towards that since the beginning. In actual fact, it's an album full of great songs that flows together and will hopefully one day be known as one of the best Hardcore albums ever made. Pros Good mix of sounds in every song Great lyrics The band are amazingly tight, the two vocalist trick works very well

It's a truly extreme album at a time when the word "extreme" is used to sell snowboards and SUVs. The Blood Brothers features two singers trading off shrieking into the mic and surprisingly they're shrieking some really fancy lyrics, which is probably the most interesting aspect of the band. On the title song they yelp, "Charred toucans weaving their black sky quilt?/Burn piano island burn!/The seashells scream out celestial code/Melting on the shore inside a flame snow globe. All the lyrics are very much in this surreal poetry vein. An unusual band indeed.
