Album · 2017 · 6 Songs. On Brothers of Destruction, they’re both gorgeously simple ( Beautiful ) and dizzyingly complex- Night Song sets the tone for its erratic stumble through baroque pop, dark psychedelia, and prog rock with the opening line I think I went a little nuts at the grocery store.

In anticipating The Lemon Twigs’ next chapter, what we get instead with Brothers of Destruction is a six-song, eighteen minute collection of scraps from 2015 that didn’t make the original album. Not that new material is essential less than a year forward from their last release, but the fact this is even released at all makes one wonder if someone is just trying to make a few shekels in case there is not much left in the tank. You would think these outtakes would have come twenty years into their career instead of on the heels of their first popular album. The content only serves to highlight the shortcomings of the first release, no matter how slight, and that their lack of focus could be their undoing. When my kids had friends like this at the house, I couldn’t wait for them to leave.

Produced by The Lemon Twigs. Album Brothers of Destruction EP. Light and Love Lyrics. You're my vision of the future When I find that you're watching over me I can taste you in the breezes that increases my love for you. You're my comfort in the winter When my boredom becomes too much for me I was lonely when I found you Now I'm only a product of your grace. You're my deer inside the headlights When I'm swerving and crash into a tree I surrender, life is tender And forever we bask in light and love.
