Marc-Antoine Charpentier (French: ; 1643 – 24 February 1704 was a French composer of the Baroque era. Exceptionally prolific and versatile, Charpentier produced compositions of the highest quality in several genres. His mastery in writing sacred vocal music, above all, was recognized and hailed by his contemporaries. Charpentier was born in or near Paris, the son of a master scribe who had very good connections to influential families in the Parlement of Paris.
André Campra (French: ; baptized 4 December 1660 – 29 June 1744) was a French composer and conductor. Campra was one of the leading French opera composers in the period between Jean-Baptiste Lully and Jean-Philippe Rameau. He wrote several tragédies en musique and opéra-ballets that were extremely well received. He also wrote three books of cantatas as well as religious music, including a requiem.
Michel Richard Delalande (1657 – 18 June 1726) was a prolific French Baroque composer and organist who was one of the most important composers of so-called grand motets, of which he wrote almost 80. He also wrote orchestral suites known as "Simphonies pour les Soupers du Roy", or in an alternative spelling of the time, simply "Symphonies". Delalande also composed ballets as well.
