Hirsch presents her work in a variety of iterations. Her composition States for voice and tape was performed solo at Alice Tully Hall and expanded to include a chorus in Moscow. She staged her autobiographical musical O’ Little Town of East New York as a multimedia piece Dance Theater Workshop. Recordings include solo projects Singing; States; The Far In, Far Out Worlds of Shelley Hirsch and several collaborative cds. Haiku Lingo and her autobiographical musical O Little Town of East New York cocomposed with David Weinstein; Where Were You Then? with Simon Ho; Duets and Duets 10 Years After with Kazuhisa Uchihashi; Berlin, Brooklyn with Joke Lanz; Room With a View with Jon Rose and as the vocalist with September Band, X Communication and Koch Schuetz Studer +Hirsch; and the Public Servants.
