Michael David d'Abo (born 1 March 1944) is an English singer and songwriter, best known as the second and former lead vocalist of Manfred Mann, namely on their N. hit "Mighty Quinn", and as the composer of the song "Handbags and Gladrags" performed by Chris Farlowe, among others. D'Abo was born in Betchworth, Surrey, the son of Dorothy Primrose (née Harbord) and Edward Nassau Nicolai d'Abo, a London stockbroker. He was educated at Harrow School and Selwyn College, Cambridge

Representing an unreleased album D'Abo recorded back in 1973, appended with six songs performed live for a Long Island radio station the previous year, it's an excellent collection. Mike d'Abo went to Manfred Mann, while John Gaydon became a manager, involved with King Crimson, Julie Felix, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, T. Rex and Roxy Music in partnership with A Band of Angels former road manager David Enthoven. They later co-founded . Andrew Petre joined a group called Timebox in the period September 1966 until August 1967. As Is is the third British studio album by Manfred Mann, released in the United Kingdom on 21 October 1966 through Fontana Records
