Megatone is a collaborative album between the Japanese experimental doom band Boris and the Japanese noise musician Merzbow. Recorded at Sound Square 2001, and Bedroom, Itabashi 2000–2001. Graft is an album by the Japanese noise musician Merzbow. The recording was inspired by the plant illustrations in the Voynich manuscript, and the design was inspired by a 1970s Jethro Tull bootleg called My God. The artwork for Hiranya was also inspired by a Jethro Tull album. An unreleased work called "samidara1" was played during an event at ohrenhoch in Berlin, Merzbow described it as "using the method of several granular synthesis programs and random process of the composition.
