The terms A-side and B-side refer to the two sides of 78, 45, and 33 1⁄3 rpm phonograph records, or cassettes, whether singles, extended plays (EPs), or long-playing (LP) records. The A-side usually featured the recording that the artist, record producer, or the record company intended to receive the initial promotional effort and then receive radio airplay, hopefully, to become a "hit" record

Start Something' is much more cheerfull and, yeah, you can say more pop. The general topic of the lyrics is what the album title says: Start something, don't let yourself go, do something with the life and time your given. Around that message you'll find about an hour of music, expressing it in different ways. The direction is clearly set: Forward.
Start Something is the second studio album by the Welsh rock band Lostprophets, released on 2 February 2004 through Visible Noise in the United Kingdom and South Korea. The album was released internationally on 5 February 2004. The band began work on the album in 2003 after touring for support of their previous album, The Fake Sound of Progress. This is the second and last album featuring the original drummer Mike Chiplin. Start Something was a critical and commercial success and became the band's international breakthrough album
The 1970s unfurled as a paradox of both striking diversity and remarkable coherence: From high-concept prog nerds and high-octane guitar solo to high-heeled glam-rockers and rough-and-ready punks, the decade saw the rise and dominance of the tement.
Admitedly, Start Something has been hyped up so much that we all began to think that this album better had be as good as the boys have said to avoid them fading into post-hardcore nothingness. this album has lived up to the hype. from songs as thrashing and totally mind blowing as 'We still kill the old way' and 'We are Godzilla and you are Japan' (with possibly the best guitar riff known to man) to the gentler side of the album with songs such as 'Goodbye tonight' and 'Sway'. see it all I see but I still kill, still kill the old way' is implying that the boys from Pontypridd are still doing whatever the hell they want to. They are still writing and playing from the heart for the fans they love so much. And lets not forget Jamie's amazing backing vocals, Without them in my opinion, this album would be less of the brilliance it is.
