Wave in Head is a one-man German synthpop music project, which was founded in 1993 in Magdeburg, Germany. His name is Michael Pohl. The first musical activities have been nothing more than a hobby, when he started, to make some noises with his first sampler, the Ensoniq ASR-10. The style walks between kittering bass lines, well balanced bleeps, a catchy sing-along chorus and fancy, synth styled vocals.
New Wave music meant a lot of things in the late 1970s. It encompassed pretty much everything that followed the punk movement that still served as an alternative to mainstream pop and rock. There was power-pop, neo-psychedelia, acid-punk, art rock and lots and lots of keyboards. In many ways, New Wave gave hope to independent bands playing in burgeoning local scenes. The college-radio boom of the ‘80s and indie rock of the 21st Century both owe a lot to the New Wave bands on this list.
The Hope is the fourth full-length studio album by Icelandic rock band Sign, which was recorded at Error Studios in Hafnarfjordur, Iceland and White Leather Studios in Hampshire, UK. The album was released in Iceland in November 2007 through R&R Music and released worldwide on 9 June 2008. It is also their second album to be written in English.
