The title track of Mumford & Sons' 2015 album. 1. Wilder Mind Lyrics. It's in my blood, it's in my water You try to tame me, tame me from the start When the din is in your eye, flash your flesh Desperate for a need to rise. Beholden now I find myself awake Waiting on the edge again You sleep so sound with your mind made up Drinking from your cup of broken ends With a silver crystal on How well you used to know how to shine In the place that's safe from harm I had been blessed with a wilder mind. You can be every little thing you want nobody to know And you can try to drown out the street below And you can call it love If you want.

Mumford & Sons Return with 'Wilder Mind': Third Album Due Out In May. Which raises a question: Just how democratic an enterprise is Mumford & Sons, anyway? There's a great Thom Yorke quote about Radiohead: "We operate like the . " he said, "and I'm America. That night, Mumford & Sons take the stage to rip through 11 of Wilder Mind's 12 tracks for the second time in .

Mumford & Sons didn't have to be awful. A British neo-folk band, liberally applying the trappings of Americana, they made big songs well-suited to big stages, and they made them about as well as possible. But awful they were, nonetheless, a band so determined to be huge that they willed themselves into anonymity. Love songs are low-hanging fruit, and on Wilder Mind, Mumford picks from the lowest branches. The first words uttered on the album's opening track, "Tompkins Square Park", are "Oh, babe," and like a boyfriend offering a generic apology, the song that follows sounds like it could be applied to any romantic situation at any time. There’s so little actual heart present in the songs, so little heartbreak, that it’s hard to imagine they were written from any kind of real place.

Wilder Mind debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, marking the band's second number one album in the United Kingdom. It sold 81,300 copies in its first week of release to become the second fastest-selling album of 2015

Reviews (1)
Shem
When Bob Dylan in 1965 his acoustic guitar for an electric omruilde was that great news. So much fuss caused Mumford & Sons not fifty years later, but many saved it. In early 2015 when the first singles of the third album Wilder Mind, critics and fans were quick to the lack of acoustic guitars and Banjos. Why should the men who with debut single Little Lion Man (2009) were responsible for a folk-revival their characteristic sound say goodbye? It was probably time for something new. And although Mumford & Sons on Wilder Mind much less original for the day comes, is it not the case that the Quartet now sounds like any other rock band. The British band has enough good songs, such as the sharp The Wolf and the powerful Cold Arms, to far above mediocrity. Mumford & Sons dare to take risks and remains in movement. And pop history shows that that mostly positive turns out
