Moving Pictures are an Australian rock music band formed in 1978. Their debut album, Days of Innocence, was issued in October 1981 and eventually peaked at No. 1 on the Kent Music Report Albums Chart in February the following year. In January 1982 they released their single, "What About Me", which reached No. 1 on the Kent Singles Chart. What About Me" is a song written by Garry Frost and Frances Swan, first recorded by Australian rock band Moving Pictures from their album Days of Innocence. Frost wrote the song when he was working with autistic children in his day job. He had gone out to get lunch at his local shop in the Sydney suburb of Asquith and saw a small boy not being noticed waiting at the counter. It would never have been recorded but their debut album's producer Charles Fisher heard Frost and Smith tinkering with the tune on the studio piano during a break in recording. It was initially released as a single in January 1982.

Formed by singer Alex Smith and writer Gary Frost, they signed with Wheatley management in 1981 and released two singles, "Walls" and "Bustin Loose. Their debut album, Days of Innocence, was released in October 1981, but it wasn't until the release of the number one single "What About Me?" in January 1982 that Days of Innocence also topped the charts. Moving Pictures' second album, Matinee, was released in October 1983 and reached number 16 in Australia. With a strong live following, the band toured Japan before band problems saw Frost leave and eventually form 1927. Joey Amenta served as a temporary replacement for Frost until Kevin Bennett joined the lineup.
