Sarah Jane Morris (born 21 March 1959, in Southampton, England) is an English singer of pop, jazz, rock and R&B and a songwriter. In 1982, Morris joined The Republic as lead singer Morris is managed by Juliet Sharman Matthews who runs JPSM Management and was her A & R Manager when she was signed to Jive Records.
Pere Ubu is an American rock group formed in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1975. Despite a variety of long-term band members, singer David Thomas is the only constant. While the band achieved little commercial success, they have exerted a wide influence on subsequent underground music.

The Pere Ubu Film Group, premiered a live, original underscore to a rare 3-D screening of Ray Bradbury's "It Came From Outer Space" at the Royal Festival Hall, London, in 2002. Another underscore, this time to Roger Corman's "X, the Man With X-Ray Eyes," debuted at "Celebrate Brooklyn" in 2004. British singer Sarah Jane Morris joined the group for the project. In April 2008 "Bring Me The Head Of Ubu Roi" premiered at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London.

Pere Ubu albums are always prickly affairs, and this one more than most. It's the soundtrack to Bring Me the Head of Ubu Roi, David Thomas's treatment of the Alfred Jarry play presented with stagings by The Brothers Quay at the Royal Festival Hall last year, with Thomas himself and Sarah Jane Morris playing the "fat toad" Ubu and his wheedling wife.
