Ive heard a couple other albums from Necro Deathmort and must say this is by far their best, this is precisely, their less "metal" album that were more predictable and uninteresting, not that technoid as their subsequent discography which is more common, this is their piece, their incognito

I think to implant the generic moniker of "Doom metal" to this album is not only misleading, belittling and unfair but also completely short in scope. This work MAY have an infusion from Doom but, first, it is not that evident as this could more likely be closer to sludge or noise and, second, there are other subgenres floating in between the wideness from this work that makes the Doom part infitely littlest.First, what is it that makes this work special in a way? Combination! The intriguing electronica structures, very organic at times, menacing and mysterious summed up to the ocasional Deep deep deeeeep bass lines that later ignite into voidless dub forming the infinite darkness of the unknown, from space.Ive heard a couple other albums from Necro Deathmort and must say this is by far their best, this is precisely, their less "metal" album that were more predictable and uninteresting, not that technoid as their subsequent discography which is more common, this is their piece, their incognito. A well concatenated maremagnum of the most spatial and profound electronica, tips from elegant dark ambient, post industrial apotheosis, sampler subtlety, special effects... and then some bass chords that could side with either doom or sludge metal but that serve only as drone effects, as walls of sounds for the main part which is mostly dark electronica to develop.Be warned, this work has organic profoundity and particular blackness from dark ambient without the utterly formless condition this genre use to have, deep, mind bending, it has the heavy industrial structure without being unbereable and also plays with the typical innuendos from Doom-Sludge metal with much subtlety, closer to Locrian in a way. This is not Doom but post Doom, all encompasing Esoteric or Dolorian with the mind altering substance from Scorn and Godflesh and a pint of more bizarre close to Deutsch Nepal.I would say this was their album. Unfortunately they wronged paths and diverted into souless techno later.Recommended album. Perfect for a night at the desert.
