Open Nerve Farewells Rivington Não Rio revels in the kind of compassionate complexity that marks Prefuse 73's greatest works, with a profound new element added to the mix: Patience. Herren's ability to marry the manic to the melodic has always been uncanny, but here it feels downright magical as the songs inhale with his trademark sense of urgenc. hen exhale in longer, more revealing breaths. The prismatic textures that have long been a staple of Prefuse 73 are bound to beats and melodies with the spirit of hip-hop and the subtlety of modern minimalism.
Rivington Não Rio is a studio album by American producer Guillermo Scott Herren under his alias of Prefuse 73, released by Temporary Residence Limited in 2015. In 2011, after releasing The Only She Chapters, Herron's eighth album for Warp, the label informed Herren that it would not accept any more material from him. This led to the rights to the master recordings of his material to be kept with the label. Herren was not sure why he was dropped by Warp and felt unsure about what.
On August 8, 2007, the fourth Prefuse 73 album, Preparations was announced and it was released on October 15, 2007 Along with partners Peter Rentz, Carolina Chaves, Ben Loiz, Carlos Niño, and Paz Ochs, Herren started the Eastern Developments Music label. Herren is releasing three sets under the name Prefuse 73 in 2015: two EPs (Forsyth Gardens and Every Color of Darkness) and an album, Rivington Não Ri. .

The third of four like-packaged Prefuse 73 releases issued within a five-month span in 2015, Rivington Não Rio - flanked by the shorter Forsyth Gardens and Every Color of Darkness - is the only one considered an album. Though the four releases range only from eight to 11 tracks, this surely is the most substantial one of the crop, both in terms of length and quantity of fully developed songs with vocalists.
