You Can Call Me Al" is a song by the American singer-songwriter Paul Simon. It was the lead single from his seventh studio album, Graceland (1986), released on Warner Bros. Written by Simon, its lyrics follow an individual seemingly experiencing a midlife crisis. Its lyrics were partially inspired by Simon's trip to South Africa and experience with its culture. Released in September 1986, "You Can Call Me Al" became one of Simon's biggest solo hits, reaching the top five in seven countries.
I can't even trust or turn to 'n confide in my own family,- And doctors aren't even interested in my bullshit they just want their damn money. n my situation's slowly become like this ever since october 2011,- My first cross country race 'n since then i've been suspicious of heaven,- When shit just got worse 'n i realized everything i've worked so hard'''to gain is fallin' apart,- 'n the stress is all in my head but it feels like'''. Like my family some people call me a hypochondriac but trust me,- I'm sick of livin' in this world it disgusts me,- Sometimes i contemplate killin' myself wonderin' if this how life must be,- I wonder if it's just me,-but see- -i never had a broad shoulder to cry on,- I havn't seen my father and the only one.

In a 1990 interview with SongTalk magazine, Simon explained: "'You Can Call Me Al' starts off very easily with sort of a joke: 'Why am I soft in the middle when the rest of my life is so hard?' Very easy words. Then it has a chorus that you can't understand. What is he talking about, you can call me Betty, and Betty, you can call me Al? You don't know what I'm talking about. But I don't think it's bothersome. This was the first single off Graceland, which won a Grammy for Album of the Year in 1988. It was Simon's first hit since 1980, when "Late In The Evening" went to in the US. The best we can tell, this is by far the biggest hit containing a penny whistle solo.

I'm Not Calling You a Liar (оригинал Florence And The Machine). Я не зову тебя лжецом (перевод Макеева Юлия из Новосибирска). I'm not calling you a liar, Я не зову тебя лжецом, Just don't lie to me. Просто не ври мне. I'm not calling you a thief, Я не зову тебя вором, Just don't steal from me, Просто не кради то, что принадлежит мне. I'm not calling you a ghost, Я не зову тебя призраком, Just stop haunting me
Cause I'm a liar, liar And only that is true Afterall fire, fire Is something I pursue Just call out liar, liar And I'll infect you too With the addictive taboo Of bidding the truth adieu. Trust me, that's a lie such a lie for a lie You see I can't pry my own dyed scheming eyes So please, forgive my falsified truthful lies Truly lying.
You liar! You don't know the first thing about love, because you don't understand compromise. Dan: I can't see my little eyes. Larry: Feel free to call me "The Sultan". Alice: Why do you love her? Is it because she is successful?
