Devin Townsend Project. Album Z². Sky Blue Lyrics. I thought you might have wanted my heart You taste it, I fall and writhe In my life I've gone over, you were right In my life this will never go away got to All is water, all is life!
I've mentioned in the past that there are certain musical acts that have an insane work ethic, acts that will pump out distinctive, potent material that somehow manages to maintain a standard of real quality. Now from my observations, these acts tend to fall into two distinctive camps: acts that have a formula that allows them to subtly augment it with each release; and acts that simply have so many ideas that they have to let them all explode forth on project after project, with some of the ideas inspired genius, some merely inspired, and some that inspire. Headaches for all involved

Devin Townsend has a lot of things to say, and many forms in which to say them. In other words, something as sonically vast as the multi-album suite Devin Townsend Project did not seem at all likely at the time. Where Epicloud seemed to stagnate, Sky Blue thrives by taking the same direction of metal heavily influenced by pop and electronica and hitting on catchy, fun tracks like Sky Blue and Before We Die. Perennial DTP contributor Anneke van Giersbergen seems to have had her imprint reduced ever so slightly as well, making her parts feel special rather than common and paying dividends for the flavor and appeal of Z2 as a whole.
