Larry Fotine and his Orchestra, (vocal Maralyn Marsh), recorded January 31, 1949 (Decca, catalog No. 24579). During a career spanning more than half a century he recorded exclusively for RCA Victor for 44 years, after signing with the label in 1943. Mr., as he was nicknamed, sol. omo in 1939, when he was with the Ted Weems Orchestra.

For the Jo Stafford compilation album, see 'A' You're Adorable (album). The song formed the basis for a Morecambe and Wise sketch, where Eric Morecambe started with "A you're adorable, B you're so beautiful" and then randomly chose letters such as J, Q or Z to fox Ernie Wise. In a Star Trek: The Next Generation DVD extra, Patrick Stewart, as Jean-Luc Picard, sings the song with slightly altered lyrics. Larry Fotine and his Orchestra (Decca).
