North Sea Radio Orchestra (NSRO) is an English contemporary music ensemble and cross-disciplinary chamber orchestra (plus chorus). The NSRO was set up mainly as a vehicle for the compositions of its musical director, Craig Fortnam, but has also performed works by William D. Drake and James Larcombe

Birds was a continuation of the work begun on the ensemble's first album, North Sea Radio Orchestra, consisting almost entirely of original compositions and containing settings of antique poetry from the Victorian and Edwardian eras and earlier. As with the previous album, Birds contained settings of poems by Thomas Hardy ("The Wound" and "Phantom") and Alfred, Lord Tennyson ("The Flower" and "Move Eastward Happy Earth", both of which had been in the repertoire of the ensemble since its earliest concerts in 2002). com/Birds (North Sea Radio Orchestra album). is the third studio album by Italian rapper Caparezza, and his first release not to use the former stage name MikiMix.

North Sea Radio Orchestra's membership has ebbed and flowed but the following line-up has remained true to the cause: Nicola Baigent plays clarinet and bass c. .arinet Luke Crookes plays bassoon Harry Escott plays cello Craig Fortnam writes the tunes and words and plays guitar and piano Sharron Fortnam writes words and sings James Larcombe plays philicorda, monosynth, some piano and hurdy gurdy Hugh Wilkinson plays percussion Brian Wright and Laura Stanford play violin and viola. Now, in 2011, North Sea Radio Orchestra release their third album, 'I a moon' (THM001) on their label, 'The Household Mark'. Since the release of their second album ‘Birds’ in Dec 2008, NSRO have performed many live shows; from their usual churchy surroundings (the Union Chapel), to the grand (Rennes Opera House) and the down to earth (Brixton Library).
