Boh of these tunes are two that even after 28 years I never get bored of - they also sort of sum up that great year of 1989 when anything went and was done. Especially like the Robin Albers and Hip House 12" of Just Keep Rockin' .

C5, D3, D5, D6 my favs. and my recordplayer reset automatic. no need to put the needle on the record myself haha.

In the early's 80 a Remix meant an extended, dance-friendly version of a pop song. Remixing involved hiring a famous DJ like Shep Pettibone or Francois Kervokian to apply their knowledge to the task of adjustinga song to fit dancefloor requirements, given that records originally mixed for radio or domestic hi-fi sound systems tinny compared to records designed for club sound systems. This example above is not what you're saying: "The end of originality". DJ's are responsible for the rebirth of many artists. In this case (it still happens nowadays) DJ's are called to transform a song. This is basic into the DJ culture. If you don't understand that, you are in wrong place.

It was 1989 and the "let's make a rap mix for the rap people and a rock mix for the rock people and every other style too" idea that would plague the 90's begins at this time..the end of originality nears. greed is not good.
