Harry James And His Orchestra 1948-49 is a double album by American trumpeter Harry James with The Harry James Orchestra. The album consists of live radio transcripts recorded during 1948 and 1949 and was released in 1969 by Big Band Landmarks (Volumes X-XI). As bop surpassed swing by the late 1940s, James was surprisingly open to its influence.

Our journey to choose the 50 greatest Latin songs of all time took us across space and time, from Argentina to Spain and from the 1920s to 2017. We wanted to represent the full spectrum of Latin music (including music from Spain), from Mexican ballads to Cuban son to Colombian salsa to today’s bachata. From pop hooks to album covers to beats, we're rounding up some of the greatest of all time in music on Billboard. The results won't please everyone – and that's as it should be. Everyone has their own takes on the greatest in music – this is ours. Our standard of selection wasn’t merely hits, but instead, songs that made a difference, that marked a moment, that influenced many and that were simply great compositions.

Criteria: These songs were chosen and ranked according to their initial and lasting popularity and also on their impact and influence on the course of musical history. At that time most songs were recorded by many different artists, so we have listed more than one version of each song on the majority of the entries. The most significant version of the song is the one by the first artist that is listed. Last Updated: 2009-12-21
