Sleeping with the Past is the 22nd studio album by the English singer-songwriter Elton John, released on 29 August 1989. It is his best-selling album in Denmark (where it was recorded) and is dedicated to his longtime writing partner Bernie Taupin. The album features his first solo number-one single, "Sacrifice", in his home country of the UK, which helped the album also hit number one there, his first since 1974's Elton John's Greatest Hits
Earth Lyrics: I dig ’til my shovel tells a secret, Swear to the earth that I will keep it, Brush off the dirt, And let my change of heart occur, Sold soon after the appraisal, The hammer. I dig ’til my shovel tells a secret Swear to the earth that I will keep it Brush off the dirt And let my change of heart occur. Sold soon after the appraisal The hammer struck the auction table Louder than anything I’ve ever heard. Fault lines tremble underneath my glass house But I put it out of my mind Long enough to call it courage To live without a lifeline I bend the definition Of faith to exonerate my blind eye ’Til the sirens sound, I’m safe
The flamenco guitar of "Spanish Caravan," the all-out weirdness of "Not to Touch the Earth" (which was a snippet of a legendary abandoned opus, "The Celebration of the Lizard"), and the menacing closer "Five to One" were also interesting. In fact, time's been fairly kind to the record, which is quite enjoyable and diverse, just not as powerful a full-length statement as the group's best albums.

Sleeping With Sirens. Hard to breathe when you lose control Hard to live with the words unspoken I walk away cause I got no home Empty hole and my body's shaking. The wind will blow Where it stops? Nobody's gonna know (I said) Away we go, where do we stop?
Lyrics to "I'll Be Waiting" song by Walk Off The Earth: Life is hard and the living's rough But these are the times when you gotta stand up Don't let them . .Never let them see you break in the middle Let your heart get too little or get lost in the riddle Never let them see you break in the middle Let your heart get too little or get lost in the riddle. Thanks to Aileen for correcting these lyrics.
