Rebelde is the debut studio album of Mexican pop group RBD, released November 30, 2004 in Mexico and on January 11, 2005 in the United States and the rest of Latin America. The album belongs to the pop and latin pop genres, with teen pop and pop rock stylings. The album was produced by Carlos Lara, Max di Carlo and Armando Ávila. A Brazilian Portuguese version of the album was also recorded and released on November 1, 2005.
The album contains songs from the group's previous studio albums that were translated into English for the release, as well as new songs that were recorded exclusively for the album. Rebels falls into the genres of Latin pop and pop rock, with dance-pop and R&B stylings, which were new music styles for the group.
My Philosophy," "This Is Love," "Keep It Down Low," and "Save Me" were all first-rate singles - originally titled "Dame," "Nuestro Amor," "Solo Quédate en Silencio," and "Sálvame," respectively - among RBD's best to date, for sure. However, too much is lost in translation, not only in terms of lyrics but also performance.
