A nice, if a little old-fashioned, selection of music for the Baroque fan, and well-played. High-quality mixing, was probably a US press of a good European recording that's not in the database. Reply Notify me Helpful.

Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf (2 November 1739 – 24 October 1799) was an Austrian composer, violinist and silvologist. Dittersdorf was born in the Laimgrube (now Mariahilf) district of Vienna, Austria, as August Carl Ditters. After retiring honorably from his military obligation, he was provided with royal letters of reference and a sinecure with the Imperial Theatre

This album is included in the following sets: BUSCH QUARTET Beethoven: The Late Quartets (1933-42) - PACM093. The Busch Quartet are at the top of their form. exceedingly good" - The Gramophone. These recordings of the late quartets of Beethoven were recorded in HMV at Abbey Road Studios between 1935 and 1937, supplemented by Columbia's recordings of 1941/42 at the Liederkranz Hall in New York City. As with some previous Pristine restorations I've found the best results have come from LP transcriptions of the original 78s, transferred and issued in the days before digital remastering.
