Certainly the best Beatles album- it shows every side of them. Their rocking side (the opening track, Getting Better, the reprise), their soft, melodic, beautiful side (She's Leaving Home), their experimental side (Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, Fixing A Hole, Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite!, Within You Without You, and A Day In The Life of course. and their pop side. This is the last album of the Beatles recorded on two tracks. It has a beautiful warm sound and they were very energetic on this album. If the singles I want to Hold Your Hand and She Loves You (+ their B-sides) replace the few weaker songs, this album would be the ultimate album of their early years. 20 Past Masters, Vol. 2. This album was released in 1988 for the box set. This one and volume 1 were created to have every song not on the original 13 albums - westofohio.

The Beatles' third album doubles as the soundtrack to their first movie. But more importantly, it's the first Beatles album to include all original songs by Lennon and McCartney. Not all of the songs ended up in the film, but 'A Hard Day's Night' is the group's first LP that flows with some consistency, since there are no covers (or cuts sung by Ringo) to disrupt the pace. The final album the Beatles recorded, but not the last one they released (see No. 8 on our list of the Top 10 Beatles Albums), comes together like no other Beatles record. In a way, it's rooted as much in the '50s rock 'n' roll that first inspired them ("Come Together" and "Oh! Darling") as it is in the studio luxuries they were afforded thanks to their fame and influence (see side two's eight-song medley). It doesn't sound at all like a last breath; it's full of life and hope. 4. 'The Beatles' (1968).

The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. They became the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed act in the history of popular music. Their best-known lineup consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.
