Countdown to Extinction (оригинал Megadeth). Обратный отсчет до исчезновения (перевод akkolteus). Endangered species, caged in fright. Исчезающий вид, живущий в ужасе в неволе, Shot in cold blood, no chance to fight. Хладнокровно расстреливаемый без шанса дать отпор, The stage is set, now pay the price. This is it, this is the countdown to extinction. Обратный отсчет до исчезновения начался. Tell the truth, you wouldn't dare.

Though Mustaine’s lyrics were considered to convey occult themes on Megadeth’s 1985 debut album, Killing Is My Busines. nd Business Is Good, from second album, Peace Sells.

The band wanted to reach so much that they got progressively poppier until their 1999 album, Risk. None of the albums coming after Countdown – Youthanasia, Cryptic Writings, and Risk – ever reached and none of them sold as well as Countdown to Extinction either
