Dr. Dre. Released December 15, 1992. The Chronic Tracklist. 1. The Chronic (Intro) (Ft. Snoop Dogg) Lyrics. The Chronic was created in the aftermath of the . riots in April 1992, and several vocal samples from people on the streets were used on songs such as The Day the Niggaz Took Over and "Lil Ghetto Boy. Dre also fired some shots at his former . A group mate Eazy-E on the tracks Fuck Wit' Dre Day (And Everybody’s Celebratin') and Bitches Ain’t Shit. Many of the songs were demoed and created at Dr. Dre’s house in Calabasas and recorded at the SOLAR Records studio Dre & .

Listen free to Dr. Dre – The Chronic (The Chronic (Intro), Fuck Wit Dre Day (And Everybody's Celebratin') and more). The Chronic is the solo debut album of American hip hop artist Dr. Dre, released December 15, 1992, on his own record label Death Row Records, and distributed by Priority Records. Recording sessions for the album took place in June 1992 at Death Row Studios in Los Angeles and at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood. The album is named after a slang term for high-grade marijuana, and its cover is an homage to Zig-Zag rolling papers.

Here Dre established his patented G-funk sound: fat, blunted c beats, soulful backing vocals, and live instruments in the rolling basslines and whiny synths. What's impressive is that Dre crafts tighter singles than his inspiration, George Clinton - he's just as effortlessly funky, and he has a better feel for a hook, a knack that improbably landed gangsta rap on the pop charts. But none of The Chronic's legions of imitators were as rich in personality, and that's due in large part to Dre's monumental discovery, Snoop Doggy Dogg

This debut solo album from D. re titled The Chronic was released on December 15, 1992 by Death Row Records. Produced by Dr. Dre and Suge Knight.

Many have tried, and all have failed to make an impact like The Chronic, including Dr. Dre himself with his follow-up album 2001, which had great songs and great beats, (who could forget the classic line, "Smoke weed everyday!" from "The Next Episode"?) but never reached the level that his debut ever did.

2001 is the second studio album by American rapper and producer Dr. It was released on November 16, 1999, by Interscope Records as the follow-up to his 1992 debut album The Chronic. The record was produced primarily by Dr. Dre and Mel-Man, as well as Lord Finesse, and features several guest contributions from fellow American rappers such as The . Hittman, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Xzibit, Eminem, and Nate Dogg.
