Girls in Hawaii is a Belgian indie pop band. Girls in Hawaii's first release was Found in the Ground: The Winter EP in early 2003, after which the band toured through Belgium and France. In the meantime, they started recording what would become their first LP. From Here To There was released in November 2003 in Belgium and in early 2004 in Europe. It was well-received across Europe, where the band went on a promotional tour, through Belgium, France, Italy, Germany and Spain.
However, although From Here to There is strictly standard-issue indie pop, it's not without its charms. The songs don't stint on the melody, and a few have choruses that are catchy enough to make up for the largely forgettable lyrics, most notably "Time to Forgive the Winter," which also boasts the album's biggest guitar hooks. Some more personality would go a long way, but Girls in Hawaii manage to be inoffensive in their pleasant mediocrity.

Produced by Girls In Hawaii. I wake up in a cave You’re by my side I see the chandeliers gleam A thousand lights Picture on the wall of ‘96 You and I, just smiling like monkeys. I’m down here again with you aside I only see the black beauty mark on your back Picture on the wall of ’86 There's only me, but much younger, straight on a pier. You gave me some advice, so I owe you now It must be hard for you to lend to me this golden skull Infinite desert, you show me now Where are the smiles and laughs again?
