Pam Tillis - EveryTime (1998). Posted By: countryfreak. Date: 1 Jul 2013 02:48:09. Pam Tillis - EveryTime (1998). Pam Tillis is in possession of a fine country voice, and on this particular project she displays her talent proudly, twang and all. While there is the usual overproduction that characterizes Nashville in the '90s, and some material that seems more in line with the pop world, Tillis has the strength to break through and shine. Especially good is the Leslie Satcher tune "Whiskey on the Wound," which seems to demonstrate just how deep Tillis' traditional roots run in spite of all the nonsense.
The discography of Pam Tillis, an American country music singer, consists of ten studio albums and thirty-eight singles. Her first release, Above and Beyond the Doll of Cutey in 1983, did not produce any major hits. Between 1990 and 2001, she recorded for Arista Nashville, achieving two gold albums and three platinum albums. Twenty-three of her singles for Arista, plus a cut for the soundtrack to Happy, Texas, all made the Hot Country Songs in that timespan

Pam Tillis has a talent for selecting great tunes, and when she applies her powerful voice and beating heart to them, the result can be amazing as well as country-chart topping. Every Time is no different, as strong a collection of tunes as she's ever recorded, a nice blend of new and traditional country. This was Pam's first studio album since 1995's ALL OF THIS LOVE. Between those three years much had changed in country music. However Tillis returned with a collection of inspired songs that were a good match to her voice and showed the strength in her quality of choosing good songs for her albums. The first single "I Said A Prayer" is one of those irresistibly drawn songs where you have to sing along once you hear it a few times. The title track is one of the best ballads on this cd, both tender and passionate, heartbreaking too.
