Echo & the Bunnymen are an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1978. The original line-up consisted of vocalist Ian McCulloch, guitarist Will Sergeant and bassist Les Pattinson, supplemented by a drum machine. By 1980, Pete de Freitas joined as the band's drummer. Their 1980 debut album, Crocodiles, went into the top 20 of the UK Albums Chart

This song is by Echo & the Bunnymen and appear. n the album Crocodiles (1980). on the compilation album Ballyhoo: The Best of Echo & The Bunnymen (1997). on the bonus tracks of the album Ocean Rain (1984). This song has been covered by Idlewild under the title "Rescue". If I said I'd lost my wayWould you sympathiseCould you sympathise?I'm jumbled upMaybe I'm losing my touchI'm jumbled upMaybe I'm losing my touchBut you know I didn't have it anyway.

The Bunnymen mellowed to a degree for their fourth album, the widely acclaimed Ocean Rain, but all it did was cause them to get weirder. The album is stuffed with queasy midtempo tracks and bizarre orchestration, but it's by no means impenetrable. The strangest song, "Yo Yo Man" limps through skewed verses, building to McCulloch's refrain, "I'm the yo yo man/ Always up and down," which triggers a startling interjection by vigorously bowed strings, percussion and Sergeant's spastic guitar.
