The next album, In This Life, was the last of this early period and was a period of flux for the band. Some of the tracks featured the starting line-up and the album finished by the later line-up. Fuller, Jacobson (Moon) and Haugseth were replaced with Mark Harris (clarinet, saxes, flute), Maria Moran (bass) and Shane Hotle (keyboards). Following this release Thinking Plague went on another 5 year hiatus. The band reactivated in 2008 with a short tour of Europe including the Gouveia Art Rock Festival in Portugal & the legendary Triton in Paris. Both the new vocalist, Elaine DiFalco & Deborah Perry performed at Gouveia as well as Dave Kerman & "Bear Dog", Bob Drake. In 2011 another short tour was undertaken including Cuneifest in Baltimore & The Stone in New York. The band featured Robin Chestnut (drums) and Kimara Sajn (drums/keyboards).

Why did Cuneiform release this without the final two tracks that were on the original CD version? Oh well, just makes the original hold its value (and appreciate) more...

Okay, now it makes sense. Thanks for posting the info!

From the Cuneiform website regarding the 2015 reissue of Thinking Plague's In This Life: "It comes back into print now for the first time in years. The two 'bonus tracks', which were taken from their first two albums and can be found in superior form on Early Plague Years have been removed and this presents the album as the band originally planned it. The CD is now shorter, but much more focused this way and a more coherent, single work. It has been newly remastered by Mark Fuller from the original stereo mixdown master, as overseen by the band."

That's a good point. The only thing I might guess is that Moonsongs and Possessed both appeared on the Cuneiform CD Early Plague Years, which compiled Thinking Plague's first two albums.

Moonsongs was a remix of the original. Possessed was the same IIRC. Buy Early Plague Years for those songs.
