Satin storm - satin storm 1999.

Complete your Satin Storm collection. 12", EP, ST 01. I picked this up on white label back in the early 90s labelled "Reel To Reel - Satin Storm", I bought it from a small stand at Camden market and I had no idea about the tunes on the vinyl but the gamble was worth it! 6 excellent tracks which for me defined the music of the that era. The stand out tune for me was "Can't Wait", with the excellent vocal and bouncy beat that would always put a smile on my face every time I played it.

This needs a repress ten more bla bla bla bla

As far as I'm concerned the B1 track Buzz is the most underrated track Satin Storm ever did. In fact, I'm more than likely in a minority in saying it is probably my favourite Satin Storm track ever. Much better than "1999" or "Let's Get Together" or the "knickerless Parsons" tune. Hardly played and seldom mentioned. They're all good but none touch the aforementioned imo. Great production, perfectly arranged, forward thinking, aswell as one of the more techy edged breakbeat tracks of the period. And no hint of cheese whatsoever. It no way gets the recognition it deserves. P.S. Another very underrated Satin Storm track is "Sweat" (which appears on Storm's first release in 1990) and happens to utilise the same breakbeat as Buzz albeit slower.

1999 and buzz, wow , never dated since it came out
