The Features serve up energetic rock from the get-go on their full-length debut, Exhibit A. Guitars and upbeat tempos drive this rock against Matt Pelham's emotional vocals and Parrish Yaw's deep synths, a feature that really adds a wonderful, subtle texture to the 34-minute album. Roger Dabbs on bass and Rollum Haas on drums provide the steady backbone and edge to the punkish tracks "Exhibit A" and "The Way It's Meant to Be," while keyboards flourish on the '60s garage-y, country vibe of "Me & the Skirts.

The Features – Exhibit A. (Universal) UK release date: 18 April 2005. Because The Features have recently been fostered by the Kings Of Leon; they hail from the same part of the World and have a singer in Matt Pelham who could be a long lost Followhill, but there the similarities end. Well, not quite: there’s a few tracks on Exhibit A that could be by the Kings, but not in a bad way. Indeed, the Leon lads must be looking quite enviously in the direction of both Exhibit A and Harder To Ignore, before falling down begging for some of whatever when into making the searing, careering Exorcising Demons
Exhibit A biography EXHIBIT A's history got started in 1986. The roots of EXHIBIT A lay in a band called Mithra, formed in Essex, UK around 1984 by Steve WATTS (bass), Nick HAMPSON (guitar), Barrie CANNON (drums), Steve CABLE (guitar) and Billie JAMES (voices). Although the line-up of EXHIBIT A has been unchanged, their music structure, much influenced by Symphonic or Heavy Progressive, has been getting more progressive - the fact can be seen in their third creation 'Make Mine A Lobster' (2010), based on sophisticated songwriting and sense of melody the nine songs represent a prog music approach coupled with some pop appeal here.
