Complete Live at the Village Gate 1962. Don Cherry, Sonny Rollins. Complete Live at the Village Gate 1962.

This 1962 engagement at the Village Gate marked Sonny Rollins first recording with Don Cherry. Only three tunes from the gigs were included on the LP Our Man in Paris and this collection adds all existing music taped during the live sessions all in brilliant stereo sound. Six CDs with detailed booklet. Sonny Rollins, tenor sax; Don Cherry, cornet; Bob Cranshaw, bass; Billy Higgins, drums.

Our Man in Jazz is an album by jazz saxophonist Sonny Rollins, released by RCA Victor featuring July 1962 performances by Rollins with Don Cherry, Bob Cranshaw, and Billy Higgins. These performances have been described as contrasting from Rollins' previous style by moving to "very long free-form fancies, swaggering and impetuous". The CD reissue supplements the original LP's three tracks with three tracks recorded in February of the following year, with Henry Grimes replacing Cranshaw on bass.
