Listen to albums and songs from Jimmy Webb. Jimmy Webb was a one-man Tin Pan Alley at a time when rock culture had decided to favor performers who wrote their own material, and even if his name doesn't ring a bell, chances are you know his songs. Between 1967 and 1969, Glen Campbell had big hits with three of Webb's songs: "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" (also a hit for Isaac Hayes), "Wichita Lineman" and "Galveston.
This new album once again unites Jimmy Webb with some of today’s biggest selling and most enduring artists for once-in-a-lifetime performances, including the iconic MacArthur Park. In celebration of the Park’s 45th Anniversary, Jimmy reached out to Brian Wilson for his inspirational vocal harmonies, which take this American Classic soaring to new heights. The album is full of inspirational vocal performances from the breathless seduction of Carly Simon on Easy For You To Say to the joyful contemporary styling of Keith Urban on Where's The Playground, Susie.
Angel Heart is the seventh album by American singer-songwriter Jimmy Webb, released in April 1982 by Real West Production.

Jimmy Webb's songs have been covered by so many artists, and so many of his songs have been covered in multiple versions, that no compilation of Webb covers could please everyone. While this two-CD, 46-song compilation of Webb interpretations is highly worthwhile for fans of the songwriter, it falls somewhere between being a collection of the best-known Webb covers, and a more esoteric anthology of obscurities.

Letters (Jimmy Webb album). Letters is the fourth album by American singer-songwriter Jimmy Webb, released in 1972 by Reprise Records. Letters was a more sedate, piano-oriented album than its predecessors, and soaked in the influence of Webb's peer and eventual close friend Joni Mitchell. I was tremendously influenced by Joni Mitchell," he admitted to Peter Doggett of Record Collector in 1994.
TAGS: Various Artists. It was probably asking too much for this two-disc set of Webb interpretations to be comprehensive (plenty of Glen Campbell but not Wichita Lineman, no Isaac Hayes or Donna Summer). Nevertheless. unesmith is a much-needed collection of his emotionally ripe songs
