This is the first of two albums (the second being the band's swan-song, Tripping Daisy (2000) to feature Ben Curtis on drums; he would later go on to form The Secret Machines and School of Seven Bells. The album expanded the band's sound, ditching most of their "90's Grunge sound" for a more layered "Neo-Psychedelic" sound similar to Clouds Taste Metallic Era Flaming Lips.

Tripping Daisy was an alternative rock band which formed in Dallas, Texas, United States in 1990 and are best known for their 1995 single "I Got A Girl". The band formed as Tim DeLaughter (vocals, guitar), Wes Berggren (guitar), Mark Pirro (bass) and Jeff Bouck (drums), although Bouck was replaced with Bryan Wakeland a few months afterwards. Guitarist Philip Karnats joined the band in 1997.
