A transformer is a device that transfers electrical energy from one circuit to another. Transformer may also refer to: Transformer (Lou Reed album), 1972. Transformer (Bruce Kulick album), 2003. Transformer", a song by Gnarls Barkley from St. Elsewhere. Transformer (film), a 2017 Canadian documentary. Transformer, a 1986 Sega arcade game. Transformer (gene), a family of genes that regulate sex determination in some insects. Transformer (flying car), a DARPA military project.

Lou Reed is the debut solo studio album by American musician Lou Reed, released in April 1972 by RCA Records, two years after he left the Velvet Underground.

his first solo album came and went. Musically, Reed's work didn't have too much in common with the sonic bombast of the glam scene, but at least it was a place where his eccentricities could find a comfortable home, and on Transformer Bowie and his right-hand man, Mick Ronson, crafted a new sound for Reed that was better fitting (and more commercially astute) than the ambivalent tone. of his first solo album.

Transformer is the second solo studio album by American recording artist Lou Reed. The album is considered an influential landmark of the glam rock genre, anchored by Reed's most successful single, "Walk on the Wild Side", which touched on controversial topics of sexual orientation and drugs. Produced by David Bowie and arranged by Mick Ronson, the album was released in November 1972 by RCA Records.

Transformer also found Reed digging into his days with the Velvet Underground, as per his first solo album. In comparison, it's not hard to enjoy the animated nature of the Velvets tracks but some of the shine is lost from Reed's solo versions.

Transformer is considered to be one of the best albums of the 1970s. This documentary examines it with Lou Reed and engineer Ken Scott talking about Perfect Day and Vicious among others; Herbie Flowers shows how the base line on Walk on the Wild Side was recorded and Dave Stewart talks of Lou's influence on him. దర్శకుడు.
